Single-vehicle accidents have occurred due to vehicle failures/defects, among other factors. Investigators will look at all of these before making any conclusion. Any form of negligence has to be identified promptly because this can open legal avenues that the state and victims can pursue, with separate but complementary end-goals: bringing culprits to justice and allowing victims to effectively find closure.
