Westport – Highway Crash

Two vehicles collided on the highway in Westport early yesterday morning.

At 6:59 a.m., reports came in of an accident just before Exit 42 on Route 15 South. Responders dispatched to the area discovered two vehicles that had collided, blocking off the left lane of the highway. The crash resulted in moderate damage, injuries, and heavy delays that stretched as far back as Exit 44 in Fairfield. We have yet to receive confirmation from authorities regarding the number of involved motorists and other details. The crash site has since been cleared, and officials are currently investigating the incident. Updates will be provided as more info is released.

This accident highlights the need to clear highway crash sites as quickly as possible, particularly on major thoroughfares and during rush hour. But having said that, identifying the causes of these incidents will always be the priority so that culprits can be made liable for their actions, both by the state and by aggrieved parties in confirmed instances of reckless or negligent behavior.
