Southington – Interstate Crash

A midday crash was reported to officials in Southington last Tuesday.

Motorists were advised to avoid I-84 East following reports of a crash that blocked off two lanes between Exits 31 and 32. The incident was reported at approximately 2:32 p.m. and prompted authorities to dispatch fire and EMS teams to the area. Three vehicles with an unspecified number of occupants collided at the scene, resulting in damage and injuries. The crash site was cleared quickly with all parties accounted for and tended to by medical personnel. The case is still under investigation.

It’s only appropriate for officials to automatically dispatch multiple teams to crash sites as this can help them be prepared for worst-case scenarios. People’s safety will always be their priority, particularly those injured in various accidents. Regarding aggrieved/injured parties, if authorities discover the involvement of reckless or negligent behavior, victims may have the option of pursuing legal claims against these culprits with the help of expert counsel.
