Shelton – Gas Leak After Vehicle Accident
Yesterday, May 20, a car accident caused a gas leak in Shelton.
Shelton police reported a gas leak on River Road that prompted an evacuation of businesses in the vicinity of River Road and Constitution Boulevard. Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said they had to close down River Road between Murphy’s Lane and Petremont Lane, making way for respondents to repair the gas leak and secure the area. The leak started when apparently a car rolled over on River Road, just in front of Riverdale Diner, hitting what authorities believe was a vent pipe. The resulting leak prompted the emergency response. Additional details about the car accident or people injured in the incident have yet to be provided by officials.
This is an uncommon case where a car accident also caused property damage, utility equipment in this example. Regardless of the causes of these types of accidents, people who are injured by these events can file for personal injury claims with the help of legal experts.
