New Haven – Serious Injuries After Hit-And-Run
Two people were critically hurt in an accident in New Haven last Saturday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Brookside Avenue and Wilmot Road. A vehicle carrying five passengers was making a turn at the intersection when it was struck by another vehicle reportedly carrying two people. Two passengers from the first vehicle were thrown off the car and onto the road, both sustaining critical injuries. The two occupants of the second vehicle fled the scene before respondents arrived, according to witnesses. Emergency crews immediately brought the victims to Yale-New Haven Hospital for further treatment. The event remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident or suspects to contact them as soon as possible.
Road accidents that result in injuries can entitle victims to file damage/compensation claims. Aggravating circumstances, such as hit-and-run, will only make their cases stronger. It pays to be aware of this if ever we or our loved ones are involved in similar road incidents.
