Mansfield – Man Killed In Crash Was A UConn Student
The victim of a crash that happened last Thursday evening was identified as a student at the University of Connecticut.
The fatal crash occurred on Storrs Road (Route 195) and involved an SUV and a transit bus. 21-year-old Thomas Paul Leahy of Tolland was initially thought to have sustained injuries but authorities eventually reported that he died at the scene of the accident. The transit bus did not have any passengers, and the driver was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident. Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
