The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recorded a notable increase in pedestrian fatalities annually. Sadly, serious injuries or deaths from pedestrian incidents in Connecticut increased by nearly 50% over one year alone.
Although traffic fatalities are declining overall, both in the United States and in Connecticut, pedestrians are always vulnerable. Whether they’re crossing busy intersections, using crosswalks, or even strolling down the sidewalk, pedestrians are at risk. These victims don’t have the protection of motor vehicle technology.
