Lisbon – Road Closed After Vehicle Accident
A road in Lisbon was closed following an accident yesterday evening.
Several minutes past 6:00 p.m., authorities received reports of a vehicle accident on Route 169 (South Burnham Highway) and quickly responded. According to officials, an unspecified number of vehicles was involved in an accident that resulted in injuries. This prompted emergency crews to close the highway in the area of Preston Allen Road. Responders have already tended to those involved in the incident, and officials were able to reopen the roadway a few minutes past 9:00 p.m. The identities of those involved and other pertinent details have yet to be disclosed by authorities pending an investigation into the cause of the crash.
Authorities investigating this and other similar incidents will always look at all possibilities in determining who or what caused these unfortunate events. It’s important for us to take note of this because in cases where officials identify negligence as the culprit, injured parties would have the option of filing for damages under appropriate circumstances.
