Hartford – Warrant Issued In Fatal Crash
An arrest warrant was issued yesterday in connection with a recent motorcycle incident in Hartford.
On the night of August 11, 54-year-old Alfred Levy was riding his 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1 and attempting to cross the intersection of Park Avenue and Main Street when a Dodge Durango hit him. Levy sustained critical injuries in the high-speed crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the SUV fled the area, leaving their vehicle a few feet away from the victim. 30-year-old Sean Steven of Manchester was eventually identified as the operator of the vehicle. A subsequent investigation, which included witness reports and a review of the events preceding the collision, points to ill-intent on the part of Steven. He was initially charged with reckless endangerment, evading responsibility and driving with a suspended license. But after a review of all details in the case, Steven is now facing an additional charge of first-degree manslaughter in the death of Levy. Steven is currently on bail and scheduled to appear in court on October 24.
