Hartford – Multi-Vehicle Interstate Accident

State and local authorities responded to a highway crash in Hartford Monday.

Two rightmost lanes of I-84 West between Exits 50 and 48 had to be blocked off after officials responded to a multi-vehicle accident in the area. Multiple crash teams, including firefighters and paramedics, were dispatched on-site to remove obstructions and assist all affected motorists. It has not been disclosed what caused the accident, and authorities are still investigating the case. We will update this story with new info as they become available.

Released images of this incident show adverse weather conditions that, most likely, made processing and clearing the crash site more challenging. Regardless, emergency responders across the state are well-equipped to deal with most highway accidents, and so are investigators when they study these cases with the goal of establishing accountability. The second point is particularly important to crash victims as those injured due to negligence may have legal options they can pursue with guidance from expert counsel.
