Danbury – Rush-Hour Highway Crash
A section of I-84 was blocked off following an accident in Danbury late yesterday afternoon.
Emergency teams were dispatched to I-84 East after authorities received reports of a crash at Exit 3 (Route 7). An unspecified number of vehicles figured in an accident in the area, resulting in moderate damage and injuries. No word yet on entrapment, hit-and-run, or the number of motorists involved in the crash. Multiple fire and EMS teams were sent to the site and, as of posting time, everyone involved has been accounted for and the crash scene cleared of all obstructions. Officials are still investigating the incident and will release updates when needed.
Accident responders will always prioritize the safety of all motorists involved in any road incident. In many cases, they are forced to block off roads even in high-traffic areas just so they can do their work in relative safety. It’s worth highlighting this as well as their ability to investigate accidents and bring suspects to justice. This is particularly important to injured parties because, under appropriate circumstances, they may have the option of filing damage claims against these culprits with the help of expert legal counsel.
