Bridgeport – Multi-Vehicle Crash

A three-vehicle collision occurred in Bridgeport late yesterday evening.

The incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Route 8 crossing Bridgeport, just before the northbound entrance to I-95. According to authorities, three vehicles collided in the area, resulting in injuries. Officials also reported one motorist in serious medical condition and a passenger nursing a gunshot wound. Responders have arrived at the scene to assist those affected by the crash, and an investigation into the cause of the incident has already started. Authorities have yet to identify any suspect or victim and are still working on establishing a connection between the crash and gunshots reported in the area. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

The circumstances/details surrounding this incident are suggesting a more complicated scenario than what is currently known about the case. That said, authorities will exhaust all means to establish accountability in this and other similar cases so that future incidents can be prevented. This will also have a secondary benefit of allowing victims not responsible for these incidents to file for damages if circumstances and their legal counsel allow it.
