Car Accident Injuries in Connecticut
Across the state of Connecticut, the number of people who died on the state’s roads in 2020 was the highest in the last five years, despite the ongoing pandemic. In fact, police departments statewide reported nearly 85,000 traffic-related incidents throughout the state, the majority of which were caused by speeding or reckless driving.
According to studies conducted by the Connecticut Transportation Safety Research Center, speed is the top cause of the majority of these deadly accidents. Oftentimes, these car crashes are rollover wrecks, increasing the risk of serious injury to the victims involved.
