Windsor – Vehicle Accident On Highway

An accident congested a portion of I-91 in Windsor yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 2:48 p.m., officials were alerted to a vehicle accident and immediately sent emergency crews to the southbound lanes of I-91. An accident involving a still unspecified number of vehicles occurred about half a mile past Exit 36 (Route 178/Park Avenue) and resulted in injuries. Medical personnel have already arrived at the scene to assist those affected by the crash, while other road crews have already started cleanup operations. Authorities have withheld the identities of those involved pending an investigation. They will release more details when appropriate.

In most highway accidents, broad closures are required to ensure the safety of both motorists involved in crashes and accident responders. This frequently results in delays, so clearing these sites quickly without sacrificing a thorough investigation is imperative. These things said, if officials discover DUI, reckless behavior or negligence in any of these cases, aggrieved parties may have the option of filing for damages with the help of expert legal counsel.
