Windham – Intersection Pedestrian Crash

A pedestrian was seriously hurt in an intersection accident in Windham early Wednesday evening.

At 5:51 p.m., reports came in of an incident at the intersection of Tingley and Valley Streets. Emergency teams dispatched to the area discovered a 27-year-old woman who sustained head injuries after she was struck by a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. The victim was immediately transported to Windham Community Memorial Hospital for treatment. No word yet on DUI or hit-and-run, but the driver of the vehicle was reportedly not injured.
