Wethersfield – Highway Crash

A highway accident was reported in Wethersfield yesterday evening.

At 8:22 p.m., reports came in of an accident on I-91 North, about half a mile before Exit 27 (Brainard Road). An unspecified number of vehicles crashed in the area, resulting in moderate damage and injuries. No word yet on entrapment, DUI, or hit-and-run. Multiple fire and EMS teams have since arrived on-site to process the accident and assist all involved motorists. Moderate delays have also been reported. Other details have yet to be released by authorities as of posting time. Updates will be provided when more info becomes available.

Appropriate protocols suggest highway incidents have to be processed and cleared as quickly as possible to reduce the chances of additional accidents and injuries. That said, authorities will always prioritize identifying the causes of these crashes so that responsible parties can be brought to justice. In cases where negligence could be involved, injured parties may also have the option of filing their own claims against suspects/culprits.
