Westport – Woman Injured In Stabbing Incident
A woman was seriously hurt in a stabbing incident in Westport yesterday afternoon.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., a 33-year-old woman was inside her vehicle parked in front of New Beauty Wellness on Post Road East when a masked suspect opened the driver’s side door. The victim attempted to push away the assailant and sustained multiple knife wounds on her leg. The suspect then fled the area but was eventually apprehended by officials. The victim was immediately hospitalized and is now in stable condition. The assailant has since been identified as 18-year-old Ellis Tibere of Guilford. He is now facing multiple charges related to the incident and is scheduled to appear in court either today or Thursday next week.
