Westbrook – Fatal Hit-And-Run Case Update

Authorities just released an update regarding last Tuesday’s fatal incident in Westbrook.

39-year-old John Ingalls of Essex was riding his bicycle on Spencer Plains Road when he was hit and killed by an SUV. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the area and remains at large. Officials have now identified a person of interest and are currently working on a warrant for his/her arrest. Current reports suggest that the suspect was possibly driving a 2007-2009 Acura MDX at the time of the crash. The case remains under active investigation.
