Westbrook – Cyclist Hit By Vehicle
Authorities are currently looking for a motorist who struck and seriously injured a bicyclist in Westbrook last Tuesday.
At around 5:00 p.m., 36-year-old John Ingalls of Essex was riding his bicycle on Spencer Plains Road when he was hit by a passing vehicle. Instead of stopping, the driver fled the area. Ingalls sustained serious injuries but was able to call for help. Responders immediately transported him to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The incident is currently under active investigation. Based on available info, the suspect’s vehicle is possibly a 2007-2009 Acura MDX. Witnesses are encouraged to contact officials and contribute to the investigation.
