Waterbury – Serious Injuries After Hit-And-Run Crash
Several people were injured in a crash in Waterbury yesterday morning.
The accident occurred on Plank Road. A black Acura traveling west on that road swerved onto the opposite lane colliding with a white Honda Accord traveling east. Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash. The driver of the Acura fled from the scene before authorities arrived, while the two occupants of the Honda Accord had to be extricated by emergency crews. They were immediately brought to the hospital for further treatment. The accident is still being investigated by officials, and they are asking anyone who may know the suspect’s whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.
Head-on collisions have caused, in many instances, serious injuries to motorists. If it can be proven that these injuries were the result of reckless or negligent behavior, then aggrieved parties would have a strong case for filing damage/compensation claims. Cases of hit-and-run would only strengthen these cases against negligent parties.
