Vernon – Motorcycle Crash Victims Identified

Vernon Police have released the identities of those involved in a motorcycle crash last Thursday evening.

The incident occurred on Talcotville Road (Route 83) near its intersection with Merline Road. A motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler were involved in the incident. The driver of the Jeep, 18-year-old Toni Marchese of Tolland, was transported to Rockville General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She is an active participant in the investigation. 26-year-old Ryan Shaw of Vernon, the motorcycle rider, was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital where he remains in critical condition. His passenger, 26-year-old Brittany Cote, also of Vernon, was transported by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital where she is now listed as stable. The accident is still being investigated by officials and they are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
