Tolland – Weekend Rollover Crash
A truck crashed and rolled over in Tolland last Saturday evening.
At around 8:10 p.m., a 2005 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 30-year-old motorist from Stratford was traveling south on Crystal Lake Road when it veered off the roadway and overturned. According to authorities, a deer attempted to cross the roadway in front of the pickup truck. The driver steered away from the animal, forcing the vehicle off the road where it hit a tree and rolled over before stopping in an embankment. The operator was quickly tended to by responders. As of posting time, officials have yet to identify the motorist or provide additional details. Updates will be provided when new info becomes available.
Some accidents like this don’t automatically exhibit signs of negligence and can be caused by factors outside motorists’ control. Having said that, investigators will always look at all possibilities and angles, including issues with the roadway, vehicle defects, and so on, with the goal of accurately establishing accountability. Regardless of outcome, the discovery of any form of negligence should allow victims/injured parties to review their options with the help of experts. It’s always advised to have legal counsel evaluate our cases as we are not always privy to the ramifications of these scenarios.
