Tolland – Two-Vehicle Accident With Injuries
Emergency crews responded to a two-car crash in Tolland last Friday.
Authorities were alerted to the incident and immediately sent fire and EMS crews to Tolland Stage Road, right at the I-84/Exit 69 off-ramp. According to reports, two vehicles collided in the area, resulting in injuries and prompting paramedics to transport one motorist to an area hospital for treatment. The crash, which occurred at around noon, forced officials to block off the area and was only reopened at approximately 2:00 p.m. Aside from the motorist who was transported to the hospital, three other people were treated on-site. The crash is currently under investigation. Authorities have yet to identify anyone involved in the incident and will do so when appropriate.
LifeStar support was initially requested by officials responding to this crash but was eventually rescinded. Despite this, it does point to the dedication authorities will always exhibit in dealing with all road incidents: the safety of everyone involved is always the priority. That said, the next goal is to accurately identify the cause of this crash so that culprits can be brought to justice. Certain legal options may also be available to injured parties if investigators discover reckless or negligent behavior.
