Somers – Serious Injuries After Motorcycle Crash

A person was airlifted to the hospital after a crash in Somers last Sunday evening.

According to authorities, the accident occurred in the area of 344 Springfield Road (Route 83). At 6:54 p.m., 30-year-old Micheal Provost was riding his 1990 Harley Davidson north on that road when his motorcycle suddenly swerved onto the opposite lane and into a grassy roadside area. Vernon – Motorcycle Crash Victims Identified

Vernon Police have released the identities of those involved in a motorcycle crash last Thursday evening.

The incident occurred on Talcotville Road (Route 83) near its intersection with Merline Road. A motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler were involved in the incident. The driver of the Jeep, 18-year-old Toni Marchese of Tolland, was transported to Rockville General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She is an active participant in the investigation. 26-year-old Ryan Shaw of Vernon, the motorcycle rider, was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital where he remains in critical condition. His passenger, 26-year-old Brittany Cote, also of Vernon, was transported by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital where she is now listed as stable. The accident is still being investigated by officials and they are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
