Bridgewater – Rollover Crash Update

Authorities have released more info regarding last Thursday’s rollover crash in Bridgewater.

Just before 6:00 p.m. last Thursday, 30-year-old Joshua Vanvranken of New Milford was driving a 2015 Subaru Forester on New Milford Road West and was about to turn left onto Cedar Hill Road when another vehicle crashed into him. The striking vehicle was a 2004 Ford Ranger driven by 28-year-old Renee Lynn Whiteman of N.Y. Whiteman crossed the double yellow line in the attempt to get around the signaling Subaru, crashing into that vehicle in the process. Both drivers were injured in the collision. A subsequent investigation revealed that Whiteman was not licensed at the time of the incident. Charges of driving without a license and passing in a no-passing zone have since been filed against the culprit. We will update this story as more info becomes available.

As exemplified in this case, negligent behavior can result in road crashes and serious injuries. Taking these culprits off the road is always a priority. That said, motorists who are injured due to the actions of these reckless individuals should consult legal experts so that their cases can be thoroughly evaluated.
