Stonington – Reckless Driver Charged
A motorist who caused an accident that killed two people in Stonington has just been charged.
38-year-old Jose Vicente Noriega-Gonzalez was arrested and charged last Tuesday in connection to a December 16, 2018 incident where he collided with another vehicle on I-95, resulting in two deaths. 37-year-old Eric Ramakers of Arizona and 26-year-old Lorna Valcin of Massachusettes were in a car traveling south on that day when another vehicle traveling in the wrong direction, driven by Noriega-Gonzalez, crashed into their car just before Exit 91. Ramakers and Valcin both sustained critical injuries in the collision and were pronounced dead at the scene. Noriega-Gonzalez is now facing multiple charges related to the incident.
