Stamford – Interstate Accident
A vehicle accident was reported in Stamford yesterday evening.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the southbound lanes of I-95 following reports of a crash about a tenth of a mile before Exit 6 (West Avenue). According to reports, an unspecified number of vehicles crashed in the area, resulting in injuries and blocking a portion of the thoroughfare. Road crews quickly worked to clear the area, declaring all lanes open just a few minutes later. Officials have yet to specify the number of motorists involved in the crash, but everyone has been tended to by responding medical personnel. No other details were available as of posting time. Updates will be provided when they become available.
Info about recent accidents is not always available immediately simply because the focus of crash responders is helping motorists injured or otherwise affected by various accidents. Eventually, and following protocol, authorities will provide info related to these events, and that will include the identification of both aggrieved and responsible parties. That last point is particularly important because if negligence is established in any of any cases, injured parties may have the option of filing cases against culprits with the help of expert legal counsel.
