Southport – Injuries In Brush Fire

Authorities responded to a highway incident in Southport Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., emergency teams were dispatched to an unspecified section of I-95 to extinguish brush fires that have lit up along the interstate. Responders from both Westport and Fairfield arrived on-site and immediately started to contain the blaze.
