Southington – Intersection Crash Victim Identified
Authorities have released more information about last Friday’s intersection crash in Southington.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Clark Street (Route 509) and Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike (Route 322) and involved two vehicles. 17-year-old Julia Bruno was driving her Nissan Sentra when, at approximately 10:18 p.m., she collided with another vehicle driven by 76-year-old Nancy Giudice. The collision forced Bruno’s Nissan off the roadway and into a utility pole. She sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead soon after. Giudice was reportedly not injured. The case is still under investigation and officials are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them as soon as possible.
