Shelton – Highway Crash Victim Identified
Authorities have identified the victim of last Saturday’s highway crash in Shelton.
47-year-old Sean Oldroyd was driving his Jaguar X-Type on the southbound lanes of Route 8 when his vehicle suddenly swerved off the roadway, crashing into a guardrail and falling down an embankment before Exit 12. Oldroyd sustained critical injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. There is currently no indication that other vehicles were involved in the crash. Officials are still investigating the incident and are asking witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
