Rocky Hill – Highway Vehicle Accident
State and local officials were alerted to a highway crash in Rocky Hill yesterday evening.
Authorities immediately dispatched emergency crews to the southbound lanes of I-91 after receiving reports of the crash. According to responders, the accident occurred at approximately 6:03 p.m. around half a mile past Exit 23 (West Street/Route 411). The incident involving a still unspecified number of vehicles resulted in injuries and prompted officials to call in EMS support to assist all affected parties. Cleanup operations were immediately started, and all lanes were cleared about an hour later. The case is still under investigation. The identities of everyone involved and other pertinent information will be provided when appropriate.
As is typically the case, accident crews would cordon off crash sites to allow investigators ample time to collect evidence that can help them ascertain liability. This is particularly relevant to parties injured in these incidents as this may allow them to file for damages in cases where negligence is involved and with the help of expert legal counsel.
