Preston – Fatal SUV Crash
A motorist was killed in an SUV crash in Preston late Tuesday evening.
Just before 11:00 p.m., 60-year-old Demir Prevalla of Watertown was driving a 2000 Mercedes Benz ML 320 east on Poquenatuck Road when the SUV unexpectedly ran off the road and into an elevated embankment. The truck then struck a tree and overturned before coming to a stop. Emergency responders quickly arrived but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no indication other vehicles were involved in the incident. The case is under active investigation, and officials will release more info when appropriate.
