Plainville – Highway Crash
A highway incident was reported to authorities in Plainville late yesterday evening.
At approximately 11:13 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the westbound side of Route 72 crossing Plainville, about a quarter of a mile before Exit 2, to help those involved in a vehicle accident. Officials have yet to specify the number of vehicles involved in the crash, but injuries have been reported. Road crews were able to clear the accident site promptly, but the incident is still under investigation. Authorities will release more information as they become available.
Evening driving inherently poses more risks to motorists in any type of vehicle. Identifying what causes these nighttime accidents, particularly on highways, should help state and local officials make all roads safer for everyone. That said, if investigators find negligence, DUI or reckless driving in any of these cases, aggrieved parties not responsible for these crashes may have the option of filing for damages as determined by their legal counsel.
