Plainville – Highway Crash

Officials responded to a vehicle crash on the highway in Plainville early Tuesday evening.

At 5:27 p.m., reports came in of a crash on the westbound lanes of Route 72. Emergency teams dispatched to the area discovered an accident involving an unspecified number of vehicles about half a mile before Exit 1 (North Washington Street). Firefighters and paramedics were sent to the scene, but no word yet on how many were affected by the crash. Road crews immediately started cleanup operations, and all lanes were reopened less than half an hour later. Officials are expected to release more info as their investigation progresses, and this post will be updated when they do so.
