A 62-year-old woman from Greenwich was attempting to cross Sound Beach Avenue when she was struck by a 2015 Honda CR-V traveling south on the roadway. The vehicle was turning left towards a parking lot in the area when the incident occurred. The pedestrian sustained injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital. Her injuries have just been characterized as serious/severe. The driver of the Honda immediately stopped and has cooperated with the investigation. Officials are still reconstructing the accident and are asking witnesses to contact them right away.
