Norwalk – Rush-Hour Interstate Accident
Two vehicles collided on the interstate in Norwalk early yesterday morning.
The right lane of I-95 North, just before Exit 14 (Fairfield Avenue), was blocked off following a crash involving an unspecified number of vehicles. Firefighters and paramedics were called in to the area to tend to all involved motorists. No word yet on entrapment, hit-and-run, or the exact number of vehicles or people at the accident scene. The site was cleared quickly, though the incident is still under investigation. Officials will release more info as they become available.
As is typically the case, clearing highway crash sites is the primary objective of emergency responders. There have been cases of chain-reaction accidents occurring on major thoroughfares, so avoiding this possibility is important. Having said that, if investigators discover negligence in any of these incidents, anyone injured would have the option of filing claims against liable parties.
