North Stonington – Rear-End Collision With Multiple Injuries
Two vehicles collided on the highway in North Stonington last Saturday.
At around 8:45 p.m., a 2017 Honda Accord was traveling north on I-95 when it rear-ended a 2014 Toyota Camry between Exits 92 and 93. The crash forced the Toyota onto the median before it overturned. At least three people sustained injuries in the incident and were hospitalized. 25-year-old Kiera M. Nielsen of Mansfield was treated at Westerly Hospital, while 56-year-old Kathryn A. Curnow and her 17-year-old daughter were taken to Laurence + Memorial Hospital for treatment. A subsequent investigation revealed that 26-year-old William Edward Major, the driver of the Honda, was tailgating the second vehicle and has since been issued a ticket related to the incident.
