Newtown – Toddy Hill Crash
More details about the rollover crash in Newtown last Sunday have been released by officials.
The driver of a car that rolled over in Newtown has now been identified as 27-year-old Anthony Giordano of Trumbull. At about 4:47 p.m. last Sunday, he was driving his 2009 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Toddy Hill Road when his car veered into the right shoulder, hitting a mailbox post. The car then swerved across the street and dropped off the left shoulder, rolling onto its roof. According to Newtown Police, Giordano sustained injuries in the crash and was immediately transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
Officials covering this case have yet to determine if the driver of the vehicle could have been negligent or DUI.
