Newtown – SUV Crash With Entrapment
A truck crashed into a tree in Newtown Sunday evening.
Emergency teams were dispatched to Flat Swamp Road after reports of a vehicle accident were received by officials. Initial reports suggest an SUV with one occupant swerved off the roadway and crashed into a tree, causing heavy damage. The driver sustained serious injuries and had to be extricated by firefighters before he/she was treated by medical personnel. No word yet on the cause of the crash, and there is no info suggesting this was a multi-vehicle accident. Authorities are investigating the case and are expected to release updates when appropriate.
Authorities handling any road-related case will always look at all possibilities, including less-apparent causes such as vehicle defects/failures. Regardless of the outcome of these investigations, the discovery of negligence can open various legal avenues that injured parties may pursue, and this may include filing for damages under appropriate situations.
