Newtown – Highway Crash Causes Injuries
A single-vehicle accident causes injuries and heavy traffic in Newtown yesterday morning.
Authorities reported a single-vehicle accident that occurred on the westbound side of I-84 crossing Newtown, between exits 9 and 10. At around 10:30 a.m., one vehicle hit a bridge abutment of Tunnel Road. According to officials, the vehicle incurred heavy damage with fluids leaking onto the highway. Responders had to transport one person to Danbury Hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
