Monroe – Truck Rollover Crash

A tractor-trailer crashed and overturned in Monroe Tuesday morning.

At 8:24 a.m., reports came in of an accident at the intersection of Routes 111 and 34. Responders found a tractor-trailer that had swerved off the roadway, crashing into a utility pole and rolling over. The driver managed to escape the overturned vehicle with the help of people who were at the scene. Emergency teams have since tended to the operator. It was also confirmed that fluid was leaking out of the damaged truck, prompting authorities to request additional support from multiple state and local teams to contain the spill and repair all damaged structures. There is currently no indication other vehicles were involved in the incident, though the case is still under investigation. Updates will be provided when appropriate.
