Middletown – Vehicle Crash With Entrapment
A crash in Middletown last Saturday resulted in critical injuries.
At around 9:00 p.m., a Massachusetts driver was on Maromas Road when she crashed their 2005 Subaru Legacy near Bear Hill Road. According to authorities, her vehicle suddenly swerved to the left, crashing into a tree before stopping. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by responding firefighters. She sustained critical injuries and was taken to Hartford Hospital where she currently remains in serious condition. The incident is still under active investigation, and officials are asking witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
While unlikely in most modern vehicles, motorists can still be injured in incidents caused by vehicle failures/defects. Of course, all possibilities are looked at when authorities investigate these cases. Whatever the outcome, accountability must be established so that aggrieved parties can find closure. In situations where negligence is involved, victims may also have the option of filing damage claims as deemed appropriate by legal experts.
