Middletown – Crash Victim Identified
Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Middletown early Saturday evening.
Several minutes past 5:00 p.m., a pedestrian was on the westbound side of Country Club Road when he was struck by a 2018 GMC Terrain traveling west. He was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment. Officials have now identified the victim as Timothy L. Fisher of Middletown. As of posting time, he remains in critical condition. Authorities are actively investigating the incident and are asking witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
Pedestrians rarely escape collisions with vehicles without serious injuries, and that only makes establishing liability as crucial as other considerations. Needless to say, negligent parties have to be apprehended. Aside from charges from the state, they may also have to face claims from their victims. This is particularly applicable in accidents resulting in long-term or debilitating effects.
