Manchester – Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Causes Serious Injuries
A pedestrian accident left a person seriously injured in Manchester early morning yesterday.
At around 2:00 a.m. yesterday, a person was found lying on the ground on Parker Street, unconscious and with serious injuries, local police reported. The person was hit by a vehicle in an apparent hit-and-run case. The pedestrian was immediately transported to the Manchester Memorial Hospital for treatment. According to officials, the victim sustained a head injury and is currently in critical condition. The case is still being investigated, and the Manchester Police Department is asking anyone who has information about the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
Anyone involved in a road accident should stay in the area of the incident until authorities arrive, so any instance of a hit-and-run is automatically considered a serious offense. That said, and in any case similar to this one, the victim or family members can file for personal injury compensation.
