Madison – Highway Incidents
Reports came in of two highway accidents in Madison yesterday afternoon.
The first incident occurred on the northbound side of I-95 crossing Madison, between exits 59 and 61, at approximately 4:32 p.m. Two vehicles were involved in the crash and injuries were reported. The left lane of the highway was closed by officials immediately after arriving at the scene but has since been reopened. This crash happened at around the same time another incident occurred on the southbound side of the highway, between the same off-ramp locations. A vehicle caught fire, forcing authorities to close several lanes of the highway. Officials are still investigating both incidents and will release additional information when they become available.
