Hartford – Fatal Scooter Crash

A scooter rider died from crash injuries in Hartford yesterday.

The still-unidentified motorist was riding in the area of 81 Wethersfield Avenue when he collided with a car. The victim sustained critical injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead soon after. The driver of the second vehicle was apprehended and taken into custody by responding officers. The incident forced the closure of Wethersfield Avenue, between Wyllys and Annawan Streets, to allow investigators and cleanup crews to do their work. The identities of involved parties have yet to be disclosed by authorities pending an investigation. This post will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.

State and local officials are constantly thinking of ways to improve road safety for everyone. Identifying the causes of accidents and other road-related incidents is an important step towards that goal. Not only that, establishing liability can also benefit victims of accidents as it allows them to pursue avenues that can support them financially and help them find closure. Filing for damages/compensation is a good example.
