Hartford – Fatal Pedestrian Accident
A pedestrian has died following an incident in Hartford late Saturday afternoon.
At around 4:45 p.m., 66-year-old Daniel DeJoseph was attempting to cross Franklin Avenue when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 47-year-old motorist. DeJoseph sustained serious injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital by responders. He died due to the severity of his injuries at 2:30 a.m. last Sunday. The driver of the striking vehicle did not flee the accident scene and has cooperated with authorities. Officials continue to investigate the incident and will release updates when appropriate.
