Guilford – Pole Strike Causes Route 77 Closure

Local officials first reported on the incident at around 5:00 p.m. According to them, a car hit and damaged a utility pole located along Route 77. No injuries were sustained by anyone involved in the accident. The utility pole had to be removed by officials, prompting a road closure. Route 77 between Prospect Hill Road and Stepstone Hill Road was cordoned off, and authorities have advised motorists to use Long Hill Road and/or Little Meadow Road to avoid the closed area of the road.
