Georgetown – Truck Rollover Causes Injuries
A truck rolled over in Georgetown yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Georgetown Road (Route 57), near its intersection with Redding Road (Route 107). According to authorities, the truck suddenly swerved off the road, rolling over before falling into an embankment. The truck also had a fuel leak and caught fire after the crash. The driver sustained injuries in the incident and has been tended to by medical crews. Officials immediately cordoned off the area to facilitate the truck’s extraction. The site has since been cleared. Authorities have yet to identify the driver and will do so after a thorough investigation of the accident.
As shown in this case, truck accidents can cause serious injuries and heavy collateral damage, so preventing future incidents from happening requires prompt identification of causes/culprits. It’s also important to note that negligence can enable injured parties to file for damages/compensation with the help of expert legal counsel.
