Fairfield – Fatal Single-Vehicle Accident
Authorities are currently investigating a single-car crash that occurred in Fairfield early Saturday morning.
At 1:40 a.m., officials received reports of an accident near the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike (Route 732) and Finn Street. A car was traveling on Route 732 when it unexpectedly veered off the roadway, hitting a parked vehicle before crashing into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are still contacting the victim’s next of kin and will provide his/her identity in due time. No word yet on the involvement of DUI or other vehicles in the incident. The crash is currently under investigation. Updates will be provided when appropriate.
